The very first edition of the Hitachi Payments Forum was held in Singapore with the purpose of bringing together visionaries from the banking and finance industries. They needed branding and marketing material for the forum, which included an event booklet containing program agenda, speakers and attendee lists, LED screens, event backdrop, standees, name cards and more.
The Challenge
Since this was the first edition of the forum, it needed to launch with conviction and purpose. Laying a strong foundation was key to ensure that the event was successful not just now, but also set the tone for the future editions. The visual identity and branding needed to convey the brand’s philosophies as well as the theme - Reimagining payments, unlocking potential for the future - in a clear manner.
Our Ideation
We started with the key visual, which upon finalisation, would be adapted across the various collaterals. And the list of collaterals was vast, which is why it was imperative to lock in the key visual and aesthetics swiftly.
For the colour palette, we opted for black and gold to showcase sophistication and exclusivity. The minimal linework illustrations are serious and depicted processes rather than being purely decorative. Subtle gold gradient and highlights added movement and momentum, capturing the essence of the event theme. For motifs, we chose illustrations that represented digital payments and user interactions, adding the iconic Singapore skyline to represent the venue of the forum.
Overall, the design language was modern and minimal that evoked a sense of credibility with innovation.
